Absolutely! Your personal information is fully protected!
Eligibility for career services funded by Alberta Employment & Immigration requires that you provide your full name, address, social insurance number, birth date and contact information which is used for tracking purposes only!
Confidentiality is a term in our contract. Close monitoring of our agency by Alberta Employment & Immigration ensures that we abide by the terms and conditions of our contract. Our processes and systems protect you, the client.
Our Staff are also bound by confidentiality agreements and as our client; your information is never discussed with anyone without prior consent from you. If you wish access to your personal records this is available to you upon request!

I am currently employed; what is the cost for to me? How is confidentiality handled in this situation?
Employed or unemployed - Free evening career planning workshops are always open to the general public and run every month.
Fee-for-service, personalized career coaching plans can be arranged if you are employed. It is our recommendation that you contact our office for more information! A detailed action plan and payment schedule for services will be provided in advance and payment options discussed at that time. The possibilities are limitless!
We access numerous web-based career and skills assessment tools and we can make those recommendations after speaking with you, to assist you with your own career planning.
Confidentiality and accessibility when one is fully employed can be a challenge! Flexible appointment times, E-services or web-based delivery can be arranged to suit your schedule. Personal career and resume coaching can also be arranged by phone and e-mail for your convenience.

What age range do you work with?
Average age of our client group is 45 years. . The age range is 20 to 65 years and beyond as long as employment is the objective!
Recent University and College grads also find much success in our programs!

What can I expect when I come to your agency?
Service excellence! Our clients are thought of very highly here!
Career coaching and personalized service are our focus! After completion of a short form, you will meet with a career coach. Along with your input, the career coach will first determine if our agency is the best venue to assist you in your career search and, identify exactly which of our services best suits your needs. No canned services at Teamworks!
Action Plans! - A plan of action is established then; together you will create a path that will give you the best opportunity for success in finding the job that best suits you!
Fun! Our team of career coaches and admin staff enjoy working with you and for you and, it shows! The bell rings often here! Bell a simple sound-making device that signals transition time in school or work day Let us ring the bell to celebrate your success!

What qualifications should I be looking for in a career coach?
Quality, credentials, continuous learning and experience working with adult learners!
A qualified coach will hold their designation as a Certified Career Development Professional through the Province of Alberta - All our coaching team members hold this designation!
It is also essential to have completion of an appropriate degree or program of educational excellence and specific work experience in career search types of programs that are recognized and supported by Alberta Employment & Immigration.
Our staff hold degrees in Social Work, Adult Education, Human Resources, and Rehabilitation as well as certifications in True Colors, Personality Dimensions, 2 Young 2 Retire, Job Search Facilitation and Adult Education.

Are workshops similar to being back in school? Do I have to attend every day?
Schools out! Our workshops are fun and interactive. Facilitators are leaders, not teachers and their role is to encourage your participation and interaction. Every adult in our workshop brings with them knowledge and personality and leave the workshops feeling inspired and motivated.
You will want to attend every day as our workshop evaluations speak volumes. They are always positive!

What if I cannot or do not, wish to attend a structure workshop schedule?
It is our experience that workshops are inspirational! We do however realize that not everyone can attend due to scheduling issues or time constraints and sometimes the mention of the word workshop sends a shiver of fear through people.
Individual coaching is offered and self-directed Business Centre resources are accessible to all our clients and this service allows you to work with your career coach and be self-directed at the same time.

We are not a placement agency so we do not place you in a job!
We help you to be in control of your future and your job search by giving you the tools to enable you to look for an ideal position and not just any job.

This service is all about you. It is important to come alone so that you get the personal attention you deserve and get the most out of the services.
If you wish to have your spouse involved, it would be important to secure permission before from your career coach before beginning the programs.
